5G Network Solutions Architect

Our client, a leading telecommunications provider, is seeking a highly skilled and innovative 5G Network Solutions Architect to join their dynamic team. This role will involve designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge 5G network solutions that meet the evolving needs of enterprise clients. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of 5G architecture, protocols, and deployment strategies, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining remote flexibility with essential in-office collaboration at our **East London, Eastern Cape** office. You will play a crucial role in shaping the future of connectivity for businesses across the region.

Responsibilities: Design and architect robust and scalable 5G network solutions for enterprise customers, considering factors like performance, security, and cost-effectiveness. Collaborate with sales teams to understand client requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop high-level and low-level designs for 5G core, radio access network (RAN), and transport network components. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and vendor solutions to enhance the 5G offering. Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) trials and develop best practices for 5G deployment. Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams. Troubleshoot complex network issues and develop effective resolution strategies. Create detailed documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guides. Stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in 5G, IoT, and edge computing. Present technical solutions to clients and stakeholders, articulating complex concepts clearly and concisely. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in telecommunications network design, with a strong focus on mobile networks (4G/5G). In-depth knowledge of 5G NR, 5G Core (SA/NSA), SDN/NFV, and cloud-native architectures. Experience with network simulation and performance analysis tools. Familiarity with edge computing and IoT platforms is a plus. Strong understanding of IP networking, routing protocols, and security principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment, balancing remote work with collaborative office sessions.
