Role Description
This is a full-time remote role (based in Montréal) for a 5G/6G Standards Research Engineer. The candidate will be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research in the field of next-generation wireless communication technologies. Daily tasks include designing and analyzing algorithms, engaging in 5G evolution and 6G technical standardization activities, and developing Intellectual Property (IP). The role requires staying updated with the latest advancements in 5G/6G networks and technologies to influence standardization and innovation strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience in Research and Development (R&D) related to 3GPP technologies
- Experience with 3GPP, IEEE and/or ITU standardization process
- Previous experience as a 3GPP delegate or as part of a standards team is a plus
- Ability to work with a team in a remote environment
- Master’s or PhD in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related disciplines
