Eduvos is looking to employ an Academic Content Writer/Developer, with specialisation in Humanities within the subject area of Life Sciences to be based at any of our National Eduvos campuses.

  • Type of role: Independent Contractor (Flexible work schedule and hours)
  • Purpose of the role: Provide content writing services within the Humanities Department.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

  • Master of Education
  • Masters in Biomedicine / Biotechnology / Environmental Sciences or related field
  • PGCE

Experience

  • At least three years’ experience of lecturing and/or developing study materials in the Higher Education sector.
  • Experience in creating interactive content on a learner management system (e.g., Moodle) – highly preferable.
  • Experience in setting assessments on various NQF levels.
  • Publishing of academic journals – advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new learning material for students (study material and assessments) in collaboration with subject matter experts within the faculty by establishing communities of practice.
  • Follow development guidelines.
  • Develop material to program specifications and Eduvos brand.
  • Review material with moderator for quality assurance.
  • Submit developed material for copy editing via the approved process.
  • Upload/release material in required format to relevant platform.
  • Review and update learning material and assessments.
  • Resolve content‑related queries.
  • Ingest module content where needed.
