The Opportunity

We’re seeking a sharp, commercially confident Account Executive who can think strategically, move fast, and drive real business growth. This role blends proactive sales development with account management—you’ll be expected to build pipeline, develop new leads, and convert opportunities, not just manage existing accounts.

This role requires someone with executive presence, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to navigate complex client relationships while consistently delivering results. Experience in SaaS, managed IT services, or technology solutions environments is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by identifying new opportunities and securing net-new clients
  • Build and execute strategies to identify and pursue new leads in the B2B tech, SaaS, and managed services market
  • Develop a comprehensive sales plan to reach and exceed targets on both a quarterly and annual basis
  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline and consistently achieve or exceed sales targets
  • Demonstrate commercial confidence by discussing pricing, negotiating terms, and asking for commitment
  • Push for clear next steps and close deals with urgency and professionalism
  • Spot trends, recurring objections, and early warning signs across clients and pipeline to proactively address issues
  • Define clear account plans to convert prospects to closed-won opportunities, identifying decision-makers and key influencers

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at client organisations
  • Demonstrate executive presence in all client interactions
  • Quickly identify decision-makers and influencers within client organisations and adjust your approach accordingly
  • Read the room effectively, probe for deeper insights, and adapt your communication style in real time based on client dynamics
  • Stay calm and maintain composure when challenged, managing interactions with situational awareness
  • Cross-sell and upsell additional services to existing clients by identifying unmet needs and aligning solutions

Problem Solving, Strategic Thinking & Industry Knowledge

  • Develop a deep understanding of client businesses, challenges, and objectives
  • Articulate client problems back to them with clarity and precision, demonstrating strong listening and comprehension
  • Ask relevant, probing questions to uncover the truth and identify the root of client needs
  • Break down complex problems into clear, logical steps and present strategic solutions cleanly
  • Think outside the box and approach challenges resourcefully without constraints
  • Continuously refresh insight, knowledge, and understanding of the broader IT, SaaS, and technology industry, including solutions, trends, and strategies

Pipeline Management & Reporting

  • Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM tools, ensuring data integrity and up-to-date opportunity tracking
  • Professionally communicate solutions to prospects through presentations, written proposals, and regular business correspondence
  • Provide regular reporting on pipeline health, forecasts, and sales activity to leadership

Skill Requirements

  • Industry Experience: 3+ years of proven experience independently managing the full B2B account lifecycle—from new business acquisition through to long-term client growth
  • Sales Development: Demonstrated ability to generate leads, build pipeline, and develop new business opportunities from scratch—not just manage warm accounts
  • SaaS & Tech Fluency Preferred: Confidence engaging with stakeholders and understanding how SaaS platforms, managed IT services, cloud solutions, and marketing technology address client challenges
  • Commercial Confidence: Articulates complex ideas clearly and pushes for commitment with professionalism
  • Strategic & Creative Problem Solving: Ability to complete a full discovery conversation/s and understand complex challenges, to offer a solution that fits
  • Ownership, Adaptability & Execution: Takes full accountability, learns fast, and delivers consistently without needing to be chased
  • CRM Proficiency: Comfortable working within CRM systems to manage pipeline, track activity, and report on performance
