Account Executive Description
Our client in the event and trade show industry is looking for an Account Executive to join their team in Bergen County, NJ. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for selling exhibit spaces, sponsorship opportunities, and trade show services. To be successful in this role, you must educate and nurture prospects, understand their requirements, and present solutions that truly meet their needs. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, enjoy relationship building, and work well in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
- Become an expert on the company’s capabilities and offerings
- Engage in a minimum number of outbound activities (phone and email) each day to potential customers to generate leads and sales opportunities
- Track outbound activities and maintain accurate data in the CRM system
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients via face-to-face meetings, virtual meetings, trade shows, functions, networking events, calls, and emails
- Sell exhibit spaces, sponsorship opportunities, and trade show services
- Attend domestic and international events and trade shows
- Support various sales and marketing activities
- Meet annual targets and measurable, non-revenue objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience required
- Familiarity with the event and trade show industry required
- Experience with a CRM (Salesforce or similar) required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally required
