As an Account Executive on Highwire's B2B Technology team, you will play a crucial role in narrating the journeys of innovative companies that challenge the status quo. Your expertise will help shape media strategies that enhance brand credibility while turning complex ideas into engaging stories that connect with target audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Service & Program Support
- Assist with daily client account tasks, including media relations, award submissions, speaking engagements, and content creation.
- Manage project logistics by tracking deliverables, timelines, and aligning priorities with client objectives.
- Engage in client calls and meetings, taking effective notes and ensuring follow-through on action items.
- Research industry trends and competitor activities to enrich client narratives.
- Help develop quarterly campaign strategies and PR recommendations.
Media & Influencer Relations
- Establish and nurture relationships with journalists and influencers in business and technology sectors.
- Compile targeted media lists and identify pitching opportunities.
- Create, revise, and disseminate pitches that generate media coverage aligned with client objectives.
- Monitor media outlets and industry news to uncover participation opportunities for clients.
- Contribute to digital and social media strategies to amplify earned media results.
Writing & Content Development
- Craft and edit diverse content formats, including:
- Press releases, media pitches, and Q&A documents
- Award submissions, speaker abstracts, and biographies
- Contributed articles, blogs, and background information
- Transform intricate technology concepts into accessible and relatable narratives.
- Ensure consistency, accuracy, and appropriate tone across all client materials.
Insights, Analytics & Integration
- Monitor and evaluate media impact and overall campaign performance.
- Assist senior team members in leveraging data to enhance pitching and storytelling approaches.
- Collaborate with various teams, including social media, content, and design, to ensure cohesive program delivery.
Collaboration & Growth
- Work alongside your team to drive execution, share insights, and learn from experienced mentors.
- Take initiative, communicate effectively, and manage your time efficiently on projects.
- Foster a positive, innovative, and cooperative team atmosphere.
Success Factors:
- 2-3 years of experience in public relations or communications, preferably in an agency environment.
- Familiarity with B2B technology sectors like AI, cybersecurity, SaaS, or infrastructure.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with attention to detail and clarity.
- Experience in media relations and securing coverage.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a dynamic setting.

Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $54,000 to $62,000, influenced by various factors such as education, relevant experience, skills, and local market data.
