Our client, a globally recognized leader in enterprise software solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and driven Account Executive to join their dynamic sales team in Queenstown, Eastern Cape, ZA. This is a field-based, client-facing role focused on acquiring new enterprise clients and expanding our footprint within key industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a complex B2B sales environment, specifically within the software or technology sector. You will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and closing deals. This involves building strong relationships with C-level executives, understanding their business challenges, and effectively articulating the value proposition of our cutting-edge software solutions. A deep understanding of software solutions, market trends, and competitive landscapes is essential. You will develop strategic account plans, conduct compelling product demonstrations, and collaborate closely with pre-sales and customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnerships. Responsibilities
- Identify and prospect new enterprise sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve sales targets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers.
- Understand client business needs and challenges, and propose tailored software solutions.
- Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations.
- Negotiate contract terms and pricing.
- Collaborate with pre-sales, marketing, and customer success teams.
- Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and product developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of successful B2B enterprise software sales experience.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas in a complex sales environment.
- Strong understanding of enterprise software solutions and cloud technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish credibility with senior-level executives.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the sales territory.
