What You'll Do
- Manage and grow an assigned book of existing customers through wallet share expansion and relationship development.
- Execute account plans focused on customer retention, service excellence, and incremental growth.
- Conduct regular customer visits, job‑site meetings, and check‑ins to understand customer needs and support ongoing projects.
- Partner closely with branch operations, inside sales, and customer support teams to deliver a consistent and high‑quality customer experience.
- Collaborate with hunter‑style Outside Sales Representatives to support the transition of newly acquired customers into managed accounts.
- Participate in joint customer calls and onboarding meetings to ensure a smooth handoff and strong customer experience.
- Identify selective new business opportunities through referrals, white space, and customer relationships.
- Align customers with manufacturer partners and vendor resources to support product education and project needs.
- Negotiate pricing and terms within established company guidelines and approval frameworks.
- Utilize CRM and sales tools to manage customer activity, pipeline visibility, and account documentation.
- Maintain working knowledge of products, programs, and market dynamics.
- Travel regularly within the assigned territory to support customer relationships.
What You'll Bring
- 1‑3 years of experience in outside sales, account management, inside sales, or customer‑facing roles.
- Experience in building materials, construction, wholesale distribution, or a related industry preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and support account growth.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Comfort using CRM systems, sales technology, and data to manage activity and accounts.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Spanish bilingual proficiency is a plus.
