We are fonio.ai. We develop an AI phone assistant that responds like a human and handles calls end-to-end. Our clients use it for customer support, appointment scheduling, lead qualification, and more. Since our launch just over a year ago, over 6,000 companies have chosen fonio.

We launched in France a few months ago, and traction is exceeding our forecasts. Demos are flowing, clients are signing, the market is responding. It's time to accelerate, and to do that, we are expanding our Account Executive team in the French-speaking market. Our short-term ambition: open an office in Paris.

Your Role

  • You lead several demos and discovery calls per day with clearly pre-qualified inbound leads from the French-speaking market.
  • You show prospects how our phone AI works and the concrete value it brings to their business.
  • You take charge of the entire sales cycle, from first contact to closing, with clear monthly and quarterly objectives. Our best AEs regularly exceed 130% of their quota.
  • Outside of demos, you work your hot leads, prepare your follow-ups, and maintain a clean and up-to-date pipeline in the CRM.
  • After closing, you ensure a smooth transition to Customer Success.

The Team

You report to Mana Gritti, Country Lead FR/CH/BE and former founder. You work hand-in-hand with Alex Brix (CCO, ex-Canva), Daniel Keinrath (CEO, has already scaled and sold a B2B startup to 2,500 clients), and Matthias Gruber (CTO, former European web development champion, managed tech teams of 100+ people). At fonio, you join people, not a logo.

  • Inbound Demos: 8 to 16 qualified demos per day, without cold calling
  • End-to-end Sales: complete ownership of the process until closing
  • Responsibility for Your Quotas: clear monthly and quarterly objectives, top performers at 130%+

What You Bring

  • At least 2 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales (startup or scale-up experience is a plus)
  • SME experience is essential. Mid-market experience may be suitable, provided you demonstrate comfort with a short sales cycle, high volumes, and a TPE/PME ICP — not an enterprise profile that would do 3 deals per quarter
  • Proven closing performance on a clear funnel
  • Good product and technical understanding
  • Native French and fluent English (the core team is based in Vienna, so English is essential daily)
  • Comfortable on the phone and in demos
