Role Overview
Title: Account Executive, Western Canada
Reporting to: Director of Sales, Canada
Location: Remote anywhere in Canada (preferably Vancouver, Calgary, or Edmonton)
Travel: Approximately 50%
Your Impact
You will help small‑mid‑sized Canadian public‑safety agencies in Western Canada adopt technology that saves lives, reduces risk, and enhances transparency. Success is measured by building senior‑level relationships, driving large, complex opportunities, and aligning Axon’s solutions with mission‑critical customer needs. This is a quota‑carrying, external field position.
Responsibilities
- Develop and Execute Account Strategies: Create comprehensive strategies that align Axon’s solutions with the needs of public‑safety agencies, collaborating with internal account team members.
- Drive Complex Sales Engagements: Manage long sales cycles, lead discovery meetings, present value propositions, and negotiate high‑value, multi‑year agreements.
- Increase Market Share: Maximize revenue and customer satisfaction within designated agencies to meet strategic objectives.
- Support Public Safety Innovation: Partner with internal teams to present technologies such as TASER 10, Axon Fleet, Axon Body 4, Axon Evidence, and Axon VR training.
- Manage Customer Relationships: Cultivate relationships with executive and operational leaders, ensuring seamless experiences through proactive engagement.
- Champion Public Safety Outcomes: Position Axon as a key enabler of safety initiatives, enhancing transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with customer success, engineering, and program management to deliver projects on time and generate measurable value.
- Accurate CRM Management: Maintain up‑to‑date records in Salesforce for interactions, opportunities, and forecasts, driving proactive sales strategies.
Key Performance Indicators
- Revenue Growth: Achieve or exceed annual revenue targets with high‑value opportunities.
- Market Penetration: Expand Axon’s footprint across Canada’s public‑safety agencies, securing net‑new contracts and growing existing accounts.
- Strategic Solution Selling: Deliver tailored solutions that improve officer safety, agency transparency, and workflow efficiency.
- Executive Relationships: Establish high‑trust relationships with senior leaders (Chiefs of Police, Deputy Chiefs, CIOs, etc.).
- Cross‑Functional Leadership: Lead product, engineering, and sales‑engineer teams to deliver 100 % on project commitments.
- Contract & Negotiation Leadership: Lead proposal and negotiation processes for competitive, long‑term engagements.
- Customer Feedback Loop: Provide at least 5 actionable product feedback items per quarter in partnership with Customer Success.
- Retention & Expansion: Achieve ≥ 95 % customer retention and identify upsell opportunities within 12 months.
- Forecasting Accuracy: Deliver forecasts with ≥ 90 % accuracy, maintaining transparent communication with senior management.
Requirements
- Track Record of Success: Proven experience exceeding sales targets in a complex, consultative environment (public safety, SaaS, or cloud solutions).
- Public Safety Sales Experience: Deep understanding of municipal procurement and public‑safety technology.
- Solution‑Oriented Mindset: Ability to translate complex needs into innovative Axon solutions.
- Technical Acumen: Familiarity with cloud computing, SaaS, and preferably digital evidence management systems.
- Collaborative Leadership: Experience working cross‑functionally to deliver comprehensive customer solutions; multi‑stakeholder project leadership is a plus.
- Law Enforcement/Public Safety Knowledge: Experience with law‑enforcement or public‑safety agencies is a strong plus.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 50 % across Western Canada.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Pay Range: $123,750 – $198,000 CAD (total compensation includes base, bonus, and stock awards).

Requirements
- Proven experience exceeding sales targets in a complex, consultative sales environment, particularly in public safety, SaaS, or cloud-based solutions.
- Deep understanding of municipal procurement processes, public safety technology, and the ability to navigate complex deals.
