As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for the retention, growth, and overall account service strategy for a selection of Higher Education institutions. You will work with various Nelnet Campus Commerce solutions, such as ePay, eBill, and more, while collaborating with other departments to optimize client strategies, exceed expectations, and create lasting customer satisfaction. Your strong relationship-building skills will contribute to generating new business through cross-selling and referrals.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Retaining and nurturing existing higher education accounts.
- Identifying and pursuing upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand the client base.
- Collaborating with sales leadership to create new business opportunities.
- Establishing open and respectful communication lines with clients to enhance relationships.
- Ensuring client satisfaction through proactive engagement and monthly check-ins.
- Conducting annual on-campus reviews to communicate Nelnet's value and strategic objectives.
- Supporting product revisions and sales coordination with existing clients.
- Gaining a solid understanding of various ERP systems and their integration with Nelnet solutions.
- Resolving client issues by collaborating across departments.
- Advocating for client needs to improve service offerings.
- Participating in the evaluation of new product requests and developing business case studies.
- Assisting with product solution development evaluations and project deployment.
- Connecting with technical support to grasp product capabilities and limitations.
- Helping create and share client communication regarding upgrades and new features.
- Tracking project and change requests in Salesforce.
- Expanding solution usage among current clients based on established relationships.
- Attending trade shows and conferences to enhance client engagement.
- Gathering competitive insights to assess market positioning.
- Coordinating the Annual User's Group Meeting for Nelnet Campus Commerce.
- Facilitating prompt communication among clients, sales leadership, and support teams.
- Reviewing and managing client contracts for renewals and adjustments.
- Collaborating with various departments to build effective customer service plans and resolve issues.
- Consulting with Finance regarding contract details, pricing, and billing issues.
Travel Requirement: 25%-30% travel required.
Education:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in business or technology.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of sales and account management experience.
- Background in the higher education market is beneficial.
- Experience with billing, payment processing, and ecommerce services is advantageous.
- Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle, Ellucian, Workday, etc. is preferred.

Compensation:
Base salary ranges from $80,000-$90,000 annually, plus an additional Incentive Compensation Plan.
