About the Security and Investigations Company / The Opportunity:
Our client is a dynamic company in the security and investigations sector, specializing in advanced integration solutions for commercial environments. This opportunity enables experienced sales professionals to drive major security projects in the Pittsburgh area, building and expanding customer relationships while leveraging expertise in security systems. As an Account Executive, you'll join a collaborative team that supports technical excellence and fosters growth in a rapidly evolving market.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage a pipeline of new and existing commercial security integration clients in the Pittsburgh metro area.
- Lead customer-facing RFP meetings, site walks, and scope of work reviews, applying technical understanding of system requirements.
- Prepare and review estimates for security integration projects including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with General Contractors, construction managers, end users, and facility managers.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure accurate proposals and smooth project handoffs.
- Track sales activity, forecasting, and pipeline data using CRM tools.
- Identify opportunities for system upgrades, service agreements, and expanded scope with existing accounts.
- Stay current on product lines, industry standards, and competitive landscape in the security integration market.
Must-Have Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in security integration sales, estimating, or project management.
- Technical understanding of electronic security systems including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
- Familiarity with industry platforms such as Lenel, C-CURE 9000, Genetec, Avigilon, Axis, or Bosch.
- Demonstrated experience reading drawings, preparing or reviewing estimates, and participating in RFP processes.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both field teams and executive-level stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
- College degree, trade school, or equivalent industry experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Established relationships with General Contractors or Security Contractors in the Pittsburgh market.
- Experience with additional security platforms beyond those listed, such as Honeywell or Gallagher.
- Knowledge of current industry standards and regulations related to security integration.
- CRM platform expertise (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
- Strong presentation skills for both technical and business audiences.
