Account Executive – Trail-Side Partnerships

Trailintel

US · flexible Part-time Mid Level $53k – $64k/yr 3w ago

About the role

About

TrailIntel is redefining how outdoor enthusiasts discover, plan, and experience the outdoors. We're the first platform built to unify trail maps, real-time conditions, GPS tracking, and cutting-edge, technology-based hyper-focused marketing in the largest curated network of outdoor enthusiasts in the country. This is all integrated with club, business and EMS essentials — all while helping riders connect with the best trail-side stops along the way. As we scale across key ATV and snowmobile regions, we’re looking for a driven Account Executive to build lasting partnerships with trail-side and linked businesses that power local riding communities.

TrailIntel's headquarters is out of Strong Maine. As an Account Executive you'll have the convenience of working remotely covering your assigned territory.

What You'll Do

  • Prospect and close new business with trail-side destinations—restaurants, lodges, gas stations, outfitters, and service providers—via outbound calls, emails, and in-person visits.
  • Own the full sales cycle, from lead generation to contract execution, for a defined regional territory.
  • Educate business owners on the value of appearing on TrailIntel's Network and the benefits of featured listings, sponsored POIs, and promotional campaigns (social).
  • Travel to high-priority riding areas and trail hubs to build relationships and attend local events, club meetings, and expos.
  • Collaborate with our commercial and mapping teams to ensure businesses are properly onboarded and represented on the TrailIntel platform and network.
  • Track sales activity and pipeline using CRM tools, and report regularly on progress against goals.

What We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of experience in a sales or business development role, ideally in advertising, local media, or tourism.
  • Passion for outdoor recreation—snowmobiling, ATVing, or similar—and a genuine appreciation for small businesses that support those communities.
  • Excellent communication and persuasion skills—whether on the phone, in person, or over email.
  • Comfortable working in a startup environment with autonomy and evolving targets.
  • Willingness to travel regionally for in-person outreach, including some weekends during peak seasons.
  • Already selling in the Snowmobile/ATV related space? This is an opportunity to add TrailIntel to your book of business.

Why TrailIntel

  • Be a foundational hire on a fast-growing outdoor platform with a mission-driven team.
  • Flexible remote work setup with travel opportunities.
  • Access to premium outdoor gear, trail intel perks, and more.
  • Help grow the visibility and success of rural businesses that make riding possible.
  • Must have access to personal travel, computer, internet and phone.
  • Compensation is commission based with competitive commission rates (25%) with residuals for recurring sponsors.
  • Not a salary plus commission position.
