A fast‑growing, globally backed beauty and cosmetics business is expanding its footprint across Canada and is seeking an Account Executive – National Accounts to support this growth. The organization has a strong presence in fragrance, skincare, and cosmetics and is building partnerships across major retail and pharmacy channels. This is a highly entrepreneurial role for a commercially driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is excited by the opportunity to build, scale, and shape national retail partnerships. Toronto‑based | Remote (80 %) + Travel (20 %).
Responsibilities
National Account Management
- Manage and grow key national retail accounts across Canada, including major pharmacy and mass retail partners.
- Own the full account lifecycle: from onboarding and contracts through to execution and growth.
Business Development & Program Building
- Identify and secure new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts.
- Build and execute account‑specific programs to drive sell‑through and brand visibility.
Retail Execution & Merchandising
- Partner with buyers to negotiate listings, promotions, and merchandising plans.
- Support planogram development and in‑store execution to maximize performance.
Market Intelligence & Field Engagement
- Conduct store visits and market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive insights.
- Maintain strong relationships with retail partners through regular communication and in‑person engagement.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with internal teams to align on strategy, inventory, and marketing initiatives.
- Develop presentations and reports using Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
- Monitor KPIs and adapt strategies to meet evolving business needs.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in account management or sales within beauty, cosmetics, or CPG.
- Proven experience working with major Canadian retailers (e.g., pharmacy, mass, or grocery channels).
- Background in skincare, cosmetics, or fragrance strongly preferred.
- Strong relationship‑building, negotiation, and influencing skills.
- Highly adaptable with the ability to pivot quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
- Self‑starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams.
