Part-Qualified Accountant

Overview

An established and fast-paced organisation is seeking a Part-Qualified Accountant to join its Finance team, supporting a high-volume rebates function. This role offers excellent exposure across financial operations, stakeholder management, and reporting, making it ideal for someone looking to progress their accounting career in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing reconciliation of supplier turnover against the General Ledger to ensure accurate calculation of customer rebates
• Prepare and submit bi-monthly Irish VAT returns and quarterly UK VAT returns
• Post monthly rebate journals to customer accounts
• Act as a key point of contact for a nationwide network of members, resolving queries relating to rebates and trading terms
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with a large supplier base
• Produce regular and ad hoc reports for senior management
• Support various finance projects and departmental initiatives as required
• Assist with the year-end close and audit process

Candidate Profile

• IATI qualified or part-qualified accountant
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Confident communicator with a professional telephone manner
• Proactive, positive attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
