About
The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role plays a key part in the day-to-day financial operations of the organization and supports reporting, analysis, and audits.
Duties
- Prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Prepare financial reports and assist with financial statement preparation
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities as needed
- Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing schedules and support
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Identify and help resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Support ad hoc accounting and finance projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 1-3+ years of accounting or related experience (depending on level)
- Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Excel; Experience with accounting/ERP systems preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team
