This role contributes to maintaining accurate financial reporting, ensuring compliance, and supporting the organization’s broader business and operational goals through effective accounting practices.
Role and Responsibilities
- Maintain fixed asset records in compliance with Sysco FAMM and support approval processes for new asset acquisitions
- Prepare journal entries and perform balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy and timeliness
- Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing and compliance activities
- Support the development of the annual profit plan through financial analysis and reporting
- Compile and analyze financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across accounting records and reports
- Support audit processes and internal financial reviews
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong data entry and 10-key skills
- Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
- Ability to compile and analyze financial reports

- Familiarity with fixed asset accounting processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
