About the role

Job Summary / Purpose

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant / Financial Analyst to perform a wide variety of accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, financial reporting, fixed asset accounting, budgeting, and ad-hoc financial analysis. This role supports internal stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and auditors by ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while contributing to overall organizational financial performance.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid work model with required in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
  • Professional office setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, maintain, and monitor financial and productivity reports for regulatory agencies, auditors, and internal leadership.
  • Perform general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Assist with internal and external financial reporting requirements.
  • Manage fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and asset tracking.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and prepare reports as requested by leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Utilize accounting systems, spreadsheets, and financial software to manage reporting functions.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • College-level coursework in Accounting or related field required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Accounting preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of full-scope accounting experience for a business required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting may substitute for required experience.

Technical Skills

  • Experience with computers required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred.
  • Strong spreadsheet and financial reporting skills preferred.
