Our client is a leading European venture capital investor that recently established its Headquarters presence in Zug. To strengthen the finance team, we are looking for a motivated and growth-oriented Accountant / Financial Controller who is eager to develop further in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

This role offers hands-on exposure to the financial backbone of a top-tier VC firm and is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership, working with modern finance tools and growing alongside a highly professional, international team.

Working closely with the Head of Finance, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of 2 entities in coordination with external service providers of selected portfolio companies.

Your role

• Independent management of in-house accounting for 2 companies in coordination with external service providors (Swiss Code of Obligations)
• Participation in monthly and annual closings and exposure to audit processes
• Preparation and review of Swiss VAT reconciliations and filings
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses
• Deliver meaningful insights on performance and variances
• Active contribution to the development and optimization of finance structures and processes
• Involvement in and, depending on experience, ownership of finance-related projects (e.g. implementation of an AP automation tool)
• Close collaboration with internal stakeholders and international counterparts

Your profile

• 3–5 years of solid experience in Accounting / Controlling within an international environment, preferably in a fiduciary office or the financial industry
• Relevant further education in accounting (Level Fachausweis)
• Solid understanding of Swiss accounting standards (OR) is essential
• Experience with Swiss and international tax topics (VAT) is a strong plus
• Fast learner with a sharp analytical mindset and strong attention to detail
• Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented personality
• Open, straightforward, and collaborative working style
• Fluent in German and English (both mandatory)
