Fund Accountant

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining the general ledger for mutual funds of varying complexity and ensuring the accurate and timely calculation of daily Net Asset Value (NAV). The ideal candidate will collaborate across internal and external partners while ensuring compliance with regulatory and accounting standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Experience in fund accounting, mutual funds, or investment accounting preferred
• Understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
• Familiarity with NAV calculations and reconciliation processes
• Knowledge of SEC regulations and GAAP principles
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet daily deadlines

• Experience working with complex investment products
• Exposure to portfolio pricing and corporate actions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Job Duties

• Maintain general ledger records for multiple mutual funds
• Perform daily accounting activities and end-of-day NAV calculations
• Prepare and review:
  • Cash reconciliations with prime brokers and custodial banks
  • Portfolio reconciliations and validations
  • Expense accruals and payment postings
  • Corporate action processing
• Conduct portfolio pricing analysis and ensure accurate valuations
• Calculate daily NAV and mill rate determinations
• Support advisor and portfolio management processing activities
• Ensure timely distribution of financial information to internal and external stakeholders
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to fund accounting activities

Work Location & Schedule

This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the Harrisburg office and 2 days remote. Initial training of approximately 2 months is 100% in-office. Following training, the schedule will transition to a hybrid model.
