Accountant

Job Overview

Large, dynamic medical group is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant specializing in Medical financial management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in corporate accounting, with expertise in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis within a complex structure. The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with accounting principles, various accounting software and financial analysis as well as revenue cycle management.

Duties

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
• Conduct account reconciliations, including general ledger reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and accounts receivable/payable management.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently using accounting software such as Sage.
• Oversee payroll processing while ensuring adherence to tax regulations and reporting standards.
• Maintain detailed records of journal entries, accruals, and complex transactions involving debits & credits.
• Ensure compliance with regulations affecting healthcare organizations’ financial activities.
• Support other departments as needed and Perform other duties as required

Education/Experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance or business required
• MBA in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Revenue Cycle Management Certificate preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in accounting in a medical group
• Expert in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office products
• Prior experience in Accounting systems.
• Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills

Pay

$60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
