About the role

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting

Participate in month-end and year-end GL closing processes, ensuring timely and error-free reporting.

Support the Head of Accounts in preparing monthly and annual financial statements in line with IFRS. • Ensure accounting transactions are posted correctly and assigned balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly • Ensure proper filing of all accounting documents Inventory & Cost Control • Work with the inventory team to ensure accurate stock valuation and reporting. • Perform Cost of Sales to Inventory reconciliation monthly Compliance & Audit Support • Prepare and submit relevant schedules to auditors

Support the implementation of audit recommendations and improvements in financial controls.

Maintain accurate and complete documentation for audit trail and regulatory review.

Team Supervision & Process Improvement • Train accounting officers to ensure accuracy and timeliness in their work.

Review journal entries and reconciliations, prepared by the team.

Promote standardization of accounting procedures across all locations.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Professional qualification (ICAN or ACCA) is an added advantage.

Minimum of 4 years' experience in accounting

Good knowledge of IFRS, Nigerian tax regulations, and internal control systems.

Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (QuickBooks).

Microsoft Excel and data analytical skills.
