Accountant/Account Officer

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records across all transactions • Record daily financial activities including income, expenses, and bank transactions • Prepare financial reports such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements • Assist in budgeting and financial planning processes • Monitor expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and cost-saving opportunities • Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure healthy cash flow • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with regulatory requirements • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation • Process payroll, including salaries, deductions, and statutory remittances • Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies • Utilize accounting software to improve efficiency and accuracy • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and financial regulations • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong organisational and time management skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • High level of integrity and confidentiality
