Glass Service of Cumberland, Inc., a trusted leader in glass installation, glazing services and commercial painting, is seeking a detail oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a construction focused environment and can manage a wide range of accounting responsibilities with accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain general accounting functions, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Record and manage accounts receivable, including construction contract billing and progress invoicing
• Process accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments
• Administer payroll, including certified payroll reporting and benefits tracking
• Track and maintain fixed assets
• Utilize construction specific accounting software for job costing, billing, and reporting
• Support management with financial reporting and project related financial data
• Assist with month end and year end closing processes

Qualifications

• General knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
• Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Foundation, Sage, QuickBooks Contractor, B.I.S. or similar)
• Familiarity with certified payroll requirements and reporting
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Prior experience in construction or a related industry is preferred but not required
