Accountant/Financial Analyst

About the Team

This position will include split activities from both accounting and financial analysis with the emphasis being more on accounting related work, applying the principles of accounting, compiling financial information, processing journal entries into various accounts, reconciling reports and financial data. Some familiarity with and an awareness of the laws and regulations that apply to an accounting function are required to ensure compliance. The position supports the Fowlerville, MI Brake Controls manufacturing plant and is an onsite position.

What you can look forward to as Accountant/Financial Analyst:

• Support month end close activities including preparation of journal entries and variance analysis
• Assisting with annual budget and forecasting
• Internal Controls Lead
• Account reconciliations
• Records, classifies, and summarizes financial transactions and events in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles
• Other adhoc tasks as needed, such as Audit, Capex, Inventory, freight or costing analysis

Your profile as Accountant/Financial Analyst:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 3 to 5 years experience in an accounting role (manufacturing experience preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills (ability to work well with others and maintain professionalism)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of accounting theories, practices, regulations, and financial concepts relative to profitability and financial ratios
• Ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
