Job Title: Graduate Intern Accountant

Overview:

Eligibility Criteria: • Must hold a minimum of a Second Class Upper Division (2:1) or Upper Credit in HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or any related field from a recognized institution. • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in an accounting or finance role. • Applicants must not be older than 28 years at the time of application. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is an added advantage. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation. • Reconcile bank statements and manage daily accounting tasks. • Support the finance team in audits, tax preparation, and compliance functions. • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, standards, and regulations. • Participate in monthly and year-end financial close processes.

Preferred Qualifications: • HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. • Ongoing or completed professional certification (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) is an added advantage. • Knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or SAP will be a plus.
