Accounting Analyst

We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to support complex projects through strong financial analysis, accounting expertise, and hands-on project support. This role is ideal for someone who understands how deals are structured, how costs flow through financial statements, and how financial decisions impact outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Financial & Project Analysis
  • Update and maintain financial models, including cost impacts and deal-level analysis
  • Analyze how project activity and deal structures affect cost, margins, and forecasts
  • Reconcile pay applications to approved budgets and forecasts (approximately 30% of the role)
• Forecasting & Budget Management
  • Support budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Analyze variances between budget vs. actuals and schedule vs. forecast
  • Partner with stakeholders to explain drivers and financial implications
• Project Support & Coordination
  • Provide financial project support across active initiatives
  • Assist with schedule updates, project tracking, and coordination efforts
  • Support project management efforts with financial insight and reporting
• Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Apply a strong understanding of GL, P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow, and how they interact
  • Ensure accounting treatment aligns with US GAAP
  • Clearly explain accounting rationale and financial impacts to non-accounting partners

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • (Finance or Business considered with strong accounting foundation)
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of:
  • P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
  • How financial activity flows through the general ledger
• Solid knowledge of US GAAP
• Highly analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Ability to clearly explain accounting conclusions, assumptions, and impacts—not just deliver outputs
