About
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst / Budget Accountant for an onsite opportunity in Newport News, VA. This role is ideal for candidates with strong accounting analysis, budgeting, and financial reporting experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting analysis and financial reporting
- Prepare and analyze contractual adjustments, charity, and bad debt reporting
- Assist with annual budgets and cost analysis
- Prepare Federal, State, and Local tax-related reports
- Support Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting processes
- Interpret financial regulations and maintain compliance
- Conduct reconciliation and financial statement analysis
- Collaborate with leadership, auditors, and external agencies
- Recommend process improvements and support accounting operations
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with Accounting concentration
- Minimum 1 year of accounting or financial analysis experience
- Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and advanced formulas
- Experience with budgeting, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Healthcare accounting or finance experience
- Master’s Degree in related field
- CPA certification preferred
