Seachrist & Associates, A.C. is located near Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV. We have served the community for over 30 years. We primarily do tax preparation but also handle general bookkeeping, payroll services, and consulting.

Role Description

This is a full-time position with an average of 35 hours a week, on-site role for an Accounting Assistant located in Ohio County, WV. There is a possibility of overtime during tax season.

Responsibilities

• Managing monthly bookkeeping tasks utilizing common accounting software in the industry.
• Weekly payroll work.
• Assisting the tax partners with gathering, organizing, and communicating with clients during tax season.
• Willing to use new AI software available in the industry.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in common online accounting software
• Knowledge of accounting terms: trial balance, general ledger, financial statements
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred
• Willing to learn new software
