About the role
Position Details
Treasury Board Secretariat – Office of the Comptroller General
Reporting to the Supervisor of Transactional Review & Compliance, the Accounting Clerk II reviews employee expense reimbursement requests, purchasing card payment reconciliations, and supporting documentation. This role includes identifying requirements for additional information, verifying compliance with Treasury Board Secretariat and Public Procurement Policies, as well as applicable collective agreements, legislation and liaising with stakeholders to ensure timely processing. This position is also responsible for maintaining confidentiality and security of divisional information and performing other related duties as required.
Screening Criteria
- Diploma in Accounting, Business or office Administration (equivalences will be considered)
- Experience in a client service environment
- Experience with auditing/compliance
- Experience with Financial Management Systems
- Experience utilizing Oracle (asset)
Assessment Criteria
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge of auditing procedures
- Analytical Skills
- Ability to effectively exchange information
