Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Manager with 5-10 years of experience to oversee the accounting needs of our organization. This role includes WIP, job costing, payroll, human resources, tax filing & month end reporting. You will oversee the Accounting & Human Resource departments. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience to perform more advanced accounting & Human Resource responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable reconciliation
• Prepare month-end/year-end journal entries
• Perform month end closing, reconciliations and GL accuracy
• Assist with WIP schedules & job profitability reviews
• Ensure accurate job coding of labor, materials & equipment
• Assist with payroll adjustments, tracking & reporting
• Work in software accounting program - Trimble/Procontractor
• Budgets
• HR Functions & Maintain HR records
• FMCSA & FRA reporting of quarterly drug screens
• Workman's Comp & Liability filings plus Audits

Required Qualifications

• General Accounting
• 5-10 years of accounting or advanced bookkeeping experience
• Understanding accrual accounting, debits/credits
• Intermediate Excel, Word, Outlook and experience with accounting programs
• Attention to details, accuracy, organization, teamwork initiative & willingness to learn

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction or related job costing
• Familiar with WIP schedules & job costing
• Experience with Procontractor Accounting Software
• Exposure to payroll procedures
• Human Resources
