Accounting Leader

Zandur is a rapidly growing national manufacturer and distributor of innovative commercial flooring products, known for our commitment to quality, sustainability, and genuine relationships. We’re expanding fast — and we’re looking for driven, positive team players to grow with us.

We are seeking a hands-on accounting leader to build and manage the company’s accounting functions. A qualified candidate will have controller-level experience and be comfortable performing both strategic and transactional accounting work while establishing processes, controls, and reporting systems for a growing organization. This role will manage key accounting functions, support strategic decision-making through financial analysis, and maintain strong internal controls across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction processing
• Manage customer credit processes, including credit checks and approval of new credit accounts
• Interact with customers and sales people as needed to address accounting related inquiries
• Supervise payroll processing, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and accuracy in compensation
• Record and reconcile inventory transactions within the ERP system
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Conduct financial analysis to support management decision-making and operational efficiency
• Coordinate with external tax accountants by preparing financial documentation and supporting schedules for tax filings
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role
• Strong experience in warehousing and manufacturing environments (required)
• Experience in the flooring industry or construction materials supply industry (preferred)
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced knowledge of accounting software
• Solid understanding of GAAP, General Ledger accounting and financial reporting practices
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication and leadership skills

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment with regular interaction across departments, including operations, sales, and warehouse teams. This position is in person Monday - Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a competitive benefits package including healthcare and profit sharing as well as paid holidays and vacation.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
