A dynamic, high-growth organization in Chester County is hiring an Accounting Manager to take ownership of the close process and help elevate the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of the accounting function. This is a strong opportunity for a CPA who wants a mix of technical accounting, team leadership, and process improvement in a multi-location environment.

What You’ll Own

Close & Core Accounting

• Lead the monthly close cycle, ensuring deadlines are met and financials are reliable
• Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Oversee key accounting areas including revenue recognition, leases, payroll, and cash activity
• Investigate fluctuations and provide clear explanations to leadership

Reporting & Business Support

• Deliver insightful variance analysis and reporting to support decision-making
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting efforts within assigned areas
• Prepare materials and presentations for internal stakeholders

Process Improvement & Controls

• Identify and implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
• Leverage automation and system capabilities to streamline workflows
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and company standards

Audit & Compliance

• Support external audits, including preparation of schedules and audit requests
• Coordinate with third-party providers to ensure timely tax filings and compliance

Team Leadership

• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff
• Foster a high-performance environment with clear expectations and ongoing coaching

What They’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• CPA license is required
• 7+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of financial reporting
• Background in public accounting (audit) is a plus
• Experience in a multi-entity or multi-location environment preferred
• Exposure to ERP systems such as NetSuite, Blackline, or similar tools
• Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
• Effective communicator who can partner across departments
