The Role
SWIM is recruiting for a new Accounting Manager, Shared Services who will lead the AP and AR functions at our client’s corporate office. Managing, mentoring, developing, and coaching a team of 10 (including 1 Supervisor). The Manager will ensure the efficient, consistent, and accurate processing of AP and AR invoices on their team. A big part of this role is continuous process improvements, system optimization, and putting in place internal controls to maintain compliance with internal & external policies. The Candidate
We are seeking candidates who are down-to-earth, friendly, and confident in their skills and abilities. Candidates well-suited to this company will be self-motivated and enthusiastic, with the drive to make AP and AR processes better across the organization.
- Minimum of 6 years’ progressive experience in accounting, including at least a few years of leading AP and/or AR functions (strong preference for someone who has concurrently led both!).
- Experience in a company with multiple sites or offices, ideally distributed across various Canadian provinces, ideally with a shared services model.
- Excellent mentorship, training, and coaching abilities. We are looking for a natural leader who thrives on managing a collaborative and efficient team!
- Systems savvy, with experience using ERP financial systems and AP automation tools.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are very important in this interactive role involving collaboration with colleagues and leaders across various departments and geographic regions.
- Relevant post-secondary education in accounting and/or business is highly preferred. CPA designation is a significant asset, but not required.
Compensation
Base salary commensurate with relevant experience, qualifications, and skills, in the range of $100,000 to $118,000. The total compensation package at this company is very robust and includes…

Location
HYBRID. The corporate office is in Greater Vancouver, right off a Highway. Free employee parking is provided. Initial training will likely be full-time in office, and after that the Finance Manager can start to work from home 2 days/week.
