Accounting & Operations Manager

We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive Accounting & Operations Manager to join a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This is a dynamic, hands-on role combining accounting, operations, and executive support—ideal for someone who thrives on variety and ownership.

What You’ll Do

Accounting

• Manage day-to-day accounting
• Oversee A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
• Support month-end and year-end processes with external partners
• Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online
• Monitor cash flow and support financial planning

Real Estate & Investment Portfolio

• Manage a portfolio of investment properties
• Oversee rent collection, tenant communication, and related admin
• Handle mortgage renewals, refinancing, and insurance renewals
• Monitor property-level cash flow and support investment decisions
• Assist with buying and selling activities, including coordination with external partners

Operations & Executive Support

• Oversee day-to-day administrative and operational functions
• Manage vendor relationships and coordinate business services
• Support the principal with scheduling, priorities, and ad hoc requests
• Draft professional correspondence (including formal/government letters)
• Assist with ongoing projects and general business support

What We’re Looking For

• Strong accounting background with hands-on experience managing full-cycle accounting
• Comfortable working independently in a lean, fast-paced environment
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
• Experience or interest in real estate / investment portfolio management
• Discreet and comfortable handling confidential information
• Tech-savvy; QuickBooks Online experience an asset
• English required; additional languages are an asset
