About the role
Seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support high-volume accounting operations within a fast-paced logistics environment. This hands-on role manages both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong financial controls. The ideal candidate is self-driven, able to take ownership quickly, work independently with minimal training, and perform effectively under tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and review high-volume AP invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals
- Reconcile vendor statements and maintain AP records
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and payment issues
- Generate customer invoices and support AR activities, including collections
- Assist with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Maintain organized financial records and vendor documentation (including W-9s)
- Monitor vendor accounts for compliance with payment terms
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate billing and cost tracking
- Provide bilingual (English/Spanish) communication with vendors, clients, and internal teams
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in accounting, AP/AR, or similar roles
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage)
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
- Experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain environments preferred
