Accounting Systems Analyst

This role will play a critical part in a strategic initiative focused on integrating an accounting infrastructure into an existing accounting ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting foundation combined with hands-on experience supporting accounting system implementations, mergers/acquisitions integrations, or new financial product implementations.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the integration of financial and accounting systems into an existing accounting ecosystem
• Analyze and understand end-to-end transaction flows, including debits, credits, journal entries, reconciliations, and accounting automation opportunities
• Assist in automating journal entries and streamlining accounting processes
• Collaborate closely with Accounting, Technology, Product, and Project Management teams in an Agile environment
• Participate in Agile ceremonies: Report findings, updates, risks, and deliverables to leadership and project managers during Agile ceremonies
• Support accounting systems integration efforts involving NetSuite, Workday, and related reconciliation platforms
• Evaluate current-state accounting workflows and help design future-state automated transaction processes
• Perform individual contributor work involving accounting analysis, systems mapping, and process improvement
• Quickly ramp up on existing integration processes and proactively ask questions to understand business requirements and dependencies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting, Finance, Economics preferred)
• 6–10+ years of accounting experience
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals including: Debits and credits, Journal entries, Transaction flows, Financial systems processes
• Experience supporting Accounting systems implementations, New accounting or financial product launches, or systems integrations
• Experience working within Agile project environments and participating in Agile ceremonies
• Ability to understand current-state accounting processes and translate them into scalable future-state automated workflows
• Experience working with enterprise accounting systems and reconciliation tools
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across Accounting, Technology, and Product teams
• Ability to quickly learn complex systems and integration processes in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Public accounting experience, particularly from a Big 4 firm
• Experience in banking, financial services, credit card, or travel industry environments
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite, Workday, BlackLine, and/or Recon Plus
• Similar enterprise accounting and reconciliation platforms
• Experience with automated reconciliations and accounting process automation
• CPA certification preferred but not required
