Accounts Payable Specialist

Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Payable Specialist to manage full-cycle payables in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong data entry accuracy, hands-on experience with purchase orders, and the ability to handle high-volume invoice processing while maintaining strict attention to detail and deadlines. This is a direct-hire position.

Key Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of invoices daily with a focus on speed and accuracy
• Perform full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice receipt, coding, matching, approval routing, and payment processing
• Execute 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
• Enter and maintain large amounts of financial data in the accounting system with a high degree of precision
• Review and verify invoices for discrepancies, correct pricing, and proper authorization
• Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues
• Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Maintain organized and audit-ready AP files and documentation
• Reconcile vendor statements and ensure timely resolution of outstanding balances
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reporting

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable experience, including full-cycle processing
• Strong experience with purchase orders and invoice matching (2-way/3-way)
• Proven ability to handle heavy data entry with speed and accuracy
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar ERP systems)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas)
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
