About the role
Position Overview
The Accounts Receivable Manager will lead all aspects of billing, collections, and cash application, ensuring accurate revenue capture and strong DSO performance. This role will oversee a team, partner cross-functionally with operations and pharmacy leadership, and play a key role in building scalable processes to support continued growth and acquisitions.
Compensation: $100-110k + 10% bonus
Schedule: 2-3 days in office per week shifting to 2 days in once ramped
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end AR function including billing, invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliations
- Lead, mentor, and develop AR team; establish KPIs and performance expectations
- Manage high-volume receivables across multiple entities, payors, and customer types (healthcare providers, facilities, agencies)
- Partner with operations and pharmacy teams to resolve billing discrepancies, denials, and reimbursement issues
- Monitor aging, drive collections strategy, and reduce DSO while maintaining strong client relationships
- Oversee revenue integrity by ensuring accurate invoicing aligned with contracts and services provided
- Implement and improve AR processes, controls, and reporting to support scale and acquisitions
- Support month-end close including AR reconciliations, revenue analysis, and reporting
- Collaborate with FP&A and leadership on cash forecasting and working capital optimization
- Assist with system enhancements, automation, and reporting tools (ERP, billing platforms, Excel/BI tools)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–8+ years of progressive AR / revenue cycle experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams
- Healthcare, pharmacy, or high-volume billing environment strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of billing, collections, and cash application processes
- Experience working across multiple entities or PE-backed / high-growth environments is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
- Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, etc.) and reporting tools
