About the role

Role Description

The Product Manager’s job entails using their expertise technical and pre-sales background to ensure Blue Turtle onboards and maintains relevant, world-class technology, fit for market and to drive new business revenue in their product/solution portfolio. Along with the sales team, they establish and maintain long-term business relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build a business case/value proposition and Go-To-Market strategy for your solution (Product research).
  • Research new business clients who could benefit from the solution to maximize client potential (Market research).
  • Expand market awareness of the solution by drafting press releases and digital marketing content.
  • Initiate and support marketing initiatives and events.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and identify and report on competitor pricing and market strategies.
  • Work with and enable the sales team to open and drive sales opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining the solution in a convincing and persuasive manner in terms of ROI, price and delivery.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients, through managing and interpreting their requirements.
  • Listen and fully understand the client’s needs, requirements and concerns.
  • Maintain beneficial vendor relationships.
  • Negotiate pricing and conditions with vendors to meet both our client’s and Blue Turtle’s needs.
  • Assist sales team with the development of sales strategies, pricing and putting together the technical proposal/aspects.
  • Communicate sales and services opportunities, customer concerns and suggestions.
  • Meet quarterly and annual new business targets for solutions and coordinate sales effort.
  • Continuously keep up to date with changes in your field of expertise.
  • Draft press releases and thought leadership articles.
  • Explore and engage with solution providers for possible onboarding.

Skills Requirement

  • Must have extensive knowledge of technologically sophisticated solutions in his/her field of expertise in order to explain their advantages and answer questions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, identity and access management, and cyber security solutions.
  • Must have the expertise to understand customer requirements and then incorporate your technical knowledge into demonstrating the effectiveness of your solution and explaining how it will provide an ideal technical solution to your client’s problems.
  • Ability to communicate both in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to work unsupervised with excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work independently, meet deadlines and new business revenue targets.
  • Good people skills so he can build and maintain a client list.

Education and Experience

  • At least 10 years’ experience in the IT software industry of which 5 years must be in a pre-sales client-facing role.
