About the role
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of Manager, Marketing & Communications, the Administrative Assistant, Marketing & Communication will be responsible for providing coordination, communications, and operational support to the Marketing & Communications Department.
KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide operational support to the Marketing & Communications Dept. by:
- Input, monitor and maintain various business information systems records.
- Plan, coordinate and execute YMM hosted events and YMM’s participation at community events.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and record meeting minutes.
- Assist with writing, preparing, and reviewing of business presentations, documents, and reports.
- Host and coordinate guided tours of the airport.
- Order marketing promo material as directed.
- Support the YMM website maintenance including content generation and updates.
- Maintain YMM social media channels by posting as scheduled in Monday.com, supporting strategy, graphic and content development, collecting and analyzing data via Meltwater.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on behalf of the Marketing & Communications team.
- Direct the logistics of the Commercial team, including meetings, seminars, workshops, special projects, and events.
- Compile, schedule and distribute quality Community and Team YMM Newsletters monthly.
- Liaise with tenants and concessionaires and the Operations department as required.
Graphic Design Support:
Support marketing campaigns with graphics.
Support annual report with graphics and layout.
Support other projects as needed.
Other support duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Detail Oriented – The ability to proof, edit and review detailed print material to ensure error free document.
- Communication/Interpersonal – The ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships through resolving conflicts in a positive way, expressing oneself verbally and in writing in a clear and organized manner.
- Computer Skills – Ability to use various computer programs, software, and systems to complete work, tasks, and projects (email, internet, databases, word processing, publishing, website management etc.)
- Concession – The ability to support the terminal commercial concession program including, concession marketing, and leading the Tenant Marketing Committee.
- Integrity – Acting with uncompromising ethics and honesty at all time and in all situations both professionally and personally.
- Prioritizing Skills – Work on several projects concurrently with excellent organizational and prioritizing skills.
- Problem Solving – The ability to analyze problems systematically, organize information and identify key factors and causes to generate solutions.
- Relationship Management – The ability to develop, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with others inside or outside of the organization who can provide information, assistance, and support.
- Teamwork – The ability to work co-operatively within a diverse team, work group and across FMAA to achieve both the goals of the team and the organization.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Eligible for the Canada Summer Jobs Grant program.
- Currently enrolled in post-secondary education.
