Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for an Advanced Analytics Senior Data Engineer. In this position, you will design, develop, and optimize complex data pipelines and systems to support analytics and business intelligence initiatives. Pay rate range (CAD): $73.91/hr - $88.70/hr

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to facilitate data integration and quality
• Build and maintain data models, data warehouses, and analytics infrastructure
• Collaborate closely with data analysts, BI engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver effective analytic solutions
• Lead technology modernization initiatives, including migration to cloud platforms
• Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and security in cloud and on-premise environments
• Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards

Desired Skill-Set

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, and data architecture
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing and automation tasks
• Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and analytics concepts
• Experience with AWS data services such as SageMaker, AWS Unified Studio, or comparable tools
• Proven track record of leading modernization and migration projects
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAS and WebFOCUS for reporting and advanced analytics
• Exposure to machine learning workflows and data science integration on AWS
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in cloud environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines tailored for data engineering
• Hands-on experience with cloud-based data platforms, particularly AWS
• Prior experience working in the banking or financial services industry
