Advanced Test Engineer

About Role

We are hiring for one of our clients seeking a Senior Advanced Test Engineer to design, execute, and analyze environmental testing for products and systems. This role focuses on validating product performance under various environmental conditions such as temperature, vibration, and other stress factors to ensure reliability and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement environmental testing strategies based on product requirements
• Develop and maintain test procedures, documentation, and compliance records
• Conduct environmental tests such as thermal cycling and vibration analysis
• Develop automated test systems and software for product validation
• Analyze test data and provide detailed reports and recommendations
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and product teams to define test requirements
• Support equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to product development decisions
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards and regulations
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in testing processes

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental or product testing
• Strong understanding of test methodologies and complex test setups

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field
• Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of environmental testing standards (e.g., MIL-STD, ASTM, IPC)
• Experience with automated testing tools and systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Compliance Requirement

• Candidates must be legally eligible to obtain required government security clearance where applicable

Compensation

Base salary starts from CAD $99,000 per year

Final compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and market conditions
