About the Role

We are looking for a commercially minded, goal-oriented, and ambitious Media Sales Account Manager.   • Business Development: Proactively identify, pursue, and close new revenue streams while maintaining a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Bespoke Proposal Development: Independently craft professional, compelling, and strategic client proposals tailored to specific market positioning and budgets.
  • Full Lifecycle Account Management: Own the entire process from prospecting and pitching to onboarding, campaign reporting, and upselling.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with editorial and design teams to ensure seamless campaign execution and adherence to brand standards.
  • Digital Proficiency: Conduct high-level virtual presentations and maintain rigorous CRM management for pipeline tracking.

Requirements & Qualifications

The Must-Haves:

  • Experience: Minimum 5+ years in B2B media sales with a verifiable track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Sector Knowledge: Experience working with corporates, SMMEs, ad agencies, and PR firms.
  • Platform Expertise: Prior experience selling digital advertising specifically for newspaper or magazine platforms.
  • Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English with exceptional negotiation and closing skills.
  • Tools: Non-negotiable proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and virtual meeting platforms (Zoom/Teams).
  • Logistics: Must reside in Cape Town and possess a valid South African driver’s license.
