Role Overview
In the role of Project Accountant, you will make a significant contribution by managing the financial dimensions of both client and internal projects. Your expertise will be crucial for ensuring precise budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and adherence to financial controls. This position empowers project delivery teams with real-time financial perspectives, pivotal for achieving the financial success of each engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage project budgets, forecasts, and actual expenses.
- Compile and present financial reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs, revenue recognition, and the overall profitability.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers to synchronize financial planning with project milestones.
- Conduct variance analysis and suggest corrective measures as needed.
- Support the billing, invoicing, and cash flow management for projects.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions related to projects.
- Participate in financial audits and internal reviews pertaining to project accounting.

- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project accounting or financial management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365) is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

- Fully qualified ACCA, ACA, or CIMA.

- Year 3: Manage financials for multiple projects and provide support to advisory teams.
- Year 4: Lead financial planning for strategic projects and mentor junior staff.
- Year 5: Advance to Senior Project Accountant or Finance Business Partner role.
