Modernizing a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting‑edge technologies.
Responsibilities
- Writing java spring boot based micro service applications utilizing AWS native technologies
- Utilize Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3
- Building Rest services with Spring able to filter and select complex data objects
- Implement CI/CD principals utilizing Maven, Gitlab and GitOps
- Agile development and delivery software
- Communication and collaboration
- Software Development is a team-oriented discipline
- Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as stakeholders
Qualifications
- An active TS/SCI with polygraph is required (Poly within the last 7 years)
- BS + 9 yrs experience
- Experience working with AWS tool suite such as OSS, DynamoDB, Lambdas, and CloudWatch
Required Skills
Required skills (3 of the below):
- Java, Spring boot or python *strongly desired
- Elastic Search and Open Search *strongly desired
- Microservice architectures
- CI/CD Tools: AWS tools, Maven, , Gitlab & GitOps; Kubernetes, docker, Ansible
- Database : NoSQL / MongoDB / DynamoDB Query and Schema Design
- OAuth/OIDC Implementation experience
- Test frameworks and automation to include Cyprus and Cucumber

The projected compensation range for this position is $180K - $225K. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
