About the role
We are seeking an experienced and certified Agile Project Manager to join our dynamic team based in Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, NG . This role is crucial for guiding our cross-functional teams through the successful execution of projects, ensuring timely delivery, within scope and budget, while fostering an agile and collaborative environment. You will be instrumental in driving project success by championing agile methodologies and best practices.
Key Responsibilities: Facilitate and lead agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations. Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies as needed. Foster strong communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and leadership. Coach and mentor team members on agile principles and practices, promoting a culture of continuous improvement. Track project progress, monitor key performance indicators, and provide regular status reports to stakeholders. Manage the scope of projects, ensuring that changes are properly evaluated and approved. Ensure the delivery of high-quality project outcomes that meet or exceed customer expectations. Work with product owners to refine the product backlog and prioritize work effectively. Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder team progress. Contribute to the development and refinement of organizational agile processes. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or possess equivalent practical experience. A PMP and/or CSM certification is highly desirable. A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years specifically in an agile environment, is required. Proven experience in managing complex projects from initiation to closure is essential. Strong understanding of agile principles, frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), and tools (Jira, Confluence) is mandatory. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills are critical. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously is necessary. This is a hybrid role, requiring a balance of remote flexibility and in-office collaboration in Abuja.
