About the role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and certified Agile Project Manager to lead critical projects within their technology division. This is a fully remote position, requiring a candidate with a strong background in managing complex software development lifecycles using Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban). The Agile Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget. You will facilitate communication between stakeholders, development teams, and management, ensuring clear understanding of project goals, progress, and risks. The role demands excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a deep understanding of Agile principles and practices.
Key responsibilities include: Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Developing and managing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation. Facilitating Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Tracking project progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues, and implementing corrective actions. Managing project budgets and ensuring financial objectives are met. Communicating project status, risks, and issues effectively to all stakeholders, including executive leadership. Leading and motivating cross-functional project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations. Managing changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques. Building strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their needs and expectations. Documenting project processes, outcomes, and lessons learned. Continuously improving project management processes and methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A PMP and/or CSM (Certified ScrumMaster) or PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused on Agile environments and software development projects, is essential. Proven experience in leading remote teams and successfully delivering complex projects is critical. Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills are mandatory. Proficiency with project management software and collaboration tools is required.
