Your role in the team

• You are engaged in a scaled agile software development organization in the field of test automation, closely involved in development (focusing on agile software development teams).
• You ensure the appropriate level of automation and select the test cases to be automated accordingly.
• You support your team and complement test automation with exploratory testing.
• You have experience in designing and developing robust automation architectures.
• You are involved in defining the framework conditions, processes, and guidelines for the use of the automation landscape.
• You assist in analyzing test environments and establishing viable test architectures.
• You contribute to knowledge transfer by actively sharing knowledge with the Software Test Automation Engineers.
• You implement automated tests (scripts) and also ensure the necessary integration into the overall quality assurance within the framework of a CI/CD process, in compliance with test automation requirements.
• You are responsible for test data management within your area of influence and contribute to monitoring activities (within the team); in particular, by developing frameworks and guidelines for measuring the efficiency and effectiveness of automation solutions as well as monitoring.
• You are responsible for analyzing, evaluating, recording, and tracking errors/deviations (e.g., analyzing CI test results).
• You support the ongoing optimization of the test automation architecture and the further development of the deployed frameworks through your feedback.

What we offer

• For the position of "Senior Specialist:in IT Consulting," a minimum salary of €55,300 gross per year is provided according to the collective agreement for employees of companies in the field of services in automatic data processing and information technology, with a employment scope of 38.5 hours per week.
• Depending on qualifications and professional experience, overpayment may be possible.

Qualifications

• You have initial experience in the application of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, SQL) and development (Java, JUnit) within the scope of development-related testing and with common test automation tools for frontend test automation (Selenium/Playwright, Appium, or comparable).
• You support your team and complement test automation with structured manual and exploratory testing.
• You possess a high level of self-motivation for continuously learning new methods, technologies, and frameworks.
• You thrive in agile projects/structures, and your working style is independent, responsible, structured, and team-oriented.
• You possess a high level of commitment and flexibility, a hands-on mentality, and demonstrate strong initiative and personal responsibility.

Experience

• Ideally, you have experience in operating test automation architectures, including their integration with other testing tools.
• You have initial experience with test automation for various frontends (web, client, mobile applications on iOS and Android), interfaces and services, or backends.
• You have practical experience working in agile software development teams, with common tools (e.g., Jira/Confluence, Kibana), and with current build, testing, and continuous integration processes.
