Qualifications

• University degree in computer science or related fields; certifications in software architecture or SAFe are an advantage
• Several years of experience as a software architect or senior lead developer, ideally in complex web and portal projects
• Profound knowledge of Java, Spring, React, as well as in the development and integration of REST APIs
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code practices, and cloud development (Azure or comparable platforms)
• Very good German and good English skills, both written and spoken

Responsibilities

• Taking technical responsibility for a development team within the Agile Release Train and ensuring efficient workflows
• Actively shaping the overall architecture of the Swissmedic portal and continuously developing the technical foundation
• Creating solution designs, reviewing architectural decisions, and ensuring compliance with architectural principles, security, and quality standards
• Consulting and close collaboration with the system architect for the overall architecture, as well as coordination with stakeholders
• Promoting and coaching developers, introducing and implementing best practices in software engineering
• Hands-on engineering: Participation in coding, testing, and deployment as an integral part of the role
• Support in implementing the technical roadmap and continuous optimization of processes, tools, and technologies
